Welcome managers!

A lot of stuff to tell this time from a busy development team at northworks.

First of all: goalunited LIVE will see the light of day very soon on your smartphone for both iOS and Android devices. The companion app is actually ramping up for the app stores and is available shortly or is already there. Check it out!

On the other hand, there are no news to report on the fully playable tablet version. We will inform you as soon as we can determine a release date for you.

In the meantime we can tell you what comes next in goalunited PRO. With the release of goalunited LIVE we bring you the following changes:

• Different stadium background with some additions
• Friendly matches – all clubs who no longer participate in the national cup will get friendly matches scheduled for the following Monday. There your players can gain experience, you can test setups and you have some income through the stadium.
• Benfica Eagles Academy – After you build the first youth structure you can upgrade to the Benfica Eagles Academy. This upgrade uncovers the talent of any observed youth player on his first match day. Also: the slot is already fully trained!
• Several quest optimizations including a new Welcome-Message, a much earlier starting first test-match and a smoother handling of the quest system.

Some bug fixes are included in this updates as well:

• Career-button removed from events until feature is implemented
• Sponsor payment displaying and paying out correctly now
• Fixed bug that occurred sometimes when leaving financial view
• Rotating wheel at the application documents in personal view corrected
• Reward payout fixed when skipping several career levels
• Revenue from matches are now entered in cashbook correctly
• Filter from transfer won´t get lost any longer when switching expanded view
• Action cards can now be removed from the game (60 minutes prior to kick-off)
• Several language mistakes fixed in the Arabic version
• Lots of fixes in the background-systems for better server performance

While you enjoy the latest improvements, the Development-Team is already working on the next things in the world of goalunited PRO:

• Social Connect with challenges, buddy requests and overview/management of your friends
• Tell a friend function where you can recruit friends with an instant 1on1 match and special incentives for you for getting new opponents into the game
• 1on1 Ad-hoc matches against friends or random opponents, a faster live ticker and rewards for winning a match
• 1on1 Ladder with a user ranking for all 1on1 matches

Feature update July and outlook

Welcome managers!

As promised, we will update this development blog more often since the release of goalunited PRO. As more and more features updates are coming along, we want to give you more insights from the team.

Coming up next is the finance update that we mentioned in an earlier blog entry. On the 28th of July the feature will be released and give you more overview about your incomes and expenditures. You will find this feature in the „Finance“ section behind „Club“.

Special diagrams will give you a daily, weekly or saisonwise overview.

The „cashbook“ shows a tabular-chronological list of all account transactions. In addition, you can set the ticket prices for all types of players, and you look at the last revenue even more games away under "prices".

After this update we are working on a social connect feature including friends list. Here are some screenshots that will give you a short preview of what is coming up.

With some buddies in your friendlist you can enable challenges, request new buddies and get even an overview of all your friends.

Community questions

Hello managers!

As you already know the two goalunited titles – LEGENDS and PRO – are independent games. This decision has prompted a few questions from you that we would like to address.

First up: In the forum the topic of discontinuing goalunited LEGENDS comes up frequently. About this we can say that we are not wasting any thoughts on that. It is a full-value game with one of the best communities imaginable.

1.)

If I delete my goalunited LEGENDS (previously goalunited 2015) account and start over in goalunited PRO (previously goalunited NEXT), do I receive a compensation for the invested STARS? After all, over a long period of time a true update was announced!

We are currently analyzing if it is possible to transfer STARS and premium days (without deletion of the goalunited LEGENDS account). Compensation above that sadly cannot be given.

2.)

Will there be new features or improvements for goalunited LEGENDS (previously goalunited 2015)? Is it planned to add current features from goalunited PRO (previously goalunited NEXT) also for goalunited LEGENDS?

goalunited LEGENDS runs as independent game and will not be replaced by goalunited PRO. Improvements and bug fixes are of course a part or running a game. goalunited LEGENDS makes no exception here.

3.)

In goalunited PRO practice and friendly matches are planned to be individually set. Can something like that also be implemented for goalunited LEGENDS (previously goalunited 2015)? (For example by 1on1)

No, for technical reasons this is not possible.

4.)

Will there be changes to the personalities? Many have planned with flexible players which are now almost worthless in goalunited LEGENDS (previously goalunited 2015).

We are thinking about balancing adjustments, big changes to the personality system are not planned though at the moment. With a balanced squad you are always taking the right direction.

5.)

Will a personality limit be added or new cards and tactics?

We cannot definitely say no to that, especially as changes to the balancing can affect the requested topics as well.

6.)

Will the fixed formations from goalunited PRO also come for goalunited LEGENDS?

No. This feature will only be used in goalunited PRO.
